September To Remember
- September is a great month to apply potassium to your lawn for healthy roots the following spring.
- If you are growing veggies for the fall you need to sow your seeds now!
- This is the month to purchase your spring flowering bulbs.
- Fall plant pruning should be on your agenda for September.
- A lawn pre-emergent herbicide should also be applied. Barricade herbicide is a very effective product for this application.
- Fall mums can be purchased and planted now. They really respond to liquid applications of fertilizer.
- Let's not forget to give our evergreen shrubs a little food as well.
- Make sure you spray your plants for little critters that may be making their home there.
- Of course, even though the weather may be getting cooler we still need to continue watering the lawn.
- These are just a few of my favorite things. I'm sure that with a little effort you will come up with a lot more wonderful things to do as well. Remember!
- The sweat equity you put in now will pay off handsomely in the spring.
